A European payout company pays Ada Obi in Lagos. Its customer balance already sits on the Tempo hub as pathUSD. This is the run recorded on testnet on 29 September 2026: 2 pathUSD → ₦3,060 at 1,530.

The plan

On mainnet the payout takes two Across hops, because Paj settles on Solana and Across has no direct Tempo → Solana route.

Step by step

1

Reserve

The amount moves from the customer’s available balance into a hold, so it cannot be spent twice while the payout is in flight.
2

Settle out of the hub

pathUSD leaves the treasury vault with the Corridor Reference in the TIP-20 memo (0x43e7f0ba…). Two entries book the two sides of the bridge through the usd-peg clearing pair: the Tempo side keyed by the log, the Solana side by the fill.
3

Open the partner order

openPayout returns a one-off funding address. The order link is recorded before anything is sent.
4

Fund the partner, exactly once

USDC goes from the Solana egress vault to the funding address with corridor:<ref> as an SPL Memo (nDGHfRgM…). The funding transaction is recorded, so a retry will not fund twice.
5

Pay out

The partner pays ₦3,060 to the beneficiary and confirms with a signed webhook. The payout is booked against the partner order:Both sides of the usd-peg pair are now back to zero.
6

Reconcile

The Tempo log, the Solana memo transfer and the partner webhook each become an Observation and match the ledger entries keyed by them.
